Overview

The Systems Administrator manages and supports the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance across multiple systems and environments. This role provides hands-on support for M365, Microsoft and Amazon Public Cloud, network security, endpoint management, and end-user technologies, while delivering high-quality support within defined SLAs. Candidates with prior experience in an MSP (Managed Service Provider) environment supporting multiple clients or systems concurrently are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced desktop and end-user support, resolving technical issues across hardware, software, and network systems
  • Administer and maintain M365, Azure, Microsoft and Amazon Public Cloud, and Entra/Intune environments
  • Manage and support firewall network infrastructure, including firewalls and connectivity
  • Support endpoint devices, printers, and AV systems
  • Administer ZTNA, EDR, and AV security solutions to protect endpoints and infrastructure
  • Support vulnerability management processes and remediation efforts
  • Monitor and respond to SOC (Security Operations Center) alerts and incidents
  • Manage SFTP configurations and secure file transfer processes
  • Administer Access Control systems for physical/logical security
  • Utilize RMM tools to monitor, manage, and maintain systems across the environment
  • Log, track, and resolve issues through the ticketing system within SLA timeframes
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency
  • Oversee security and compliance administration across IT systems
  • Train end users in new technologies and best practices
  • Document processes, incidents, and resolutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT projects
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address issues
  • Ensure data integrity, backups, and disaster recovery readiness
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging IT trends and solutions

Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in Systems Administration, with exposure to supporting multiple, diverse systems and environments
  • Prior experience working in an MSP (Managed Service Provider) environment strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in desktop support and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience administering M365, Azure, and Entra/Intune
  • Experience with Fortinet network equipment and firewall management
  • Familiarity with ZTNA, EDR/AV solutions, and vulnerability management practices
  • Exposure to SOC operations and incident monitoring
  • Working knowledge of SFTP and secure file transfer protocols
  • Experience with RMM platforms and ticketing systems
  • Proficiency in PowerShell and scripting for automation
  • Strong background in security and compliance administration
  • Experience providing IT support and training to end users
  • Ability to meet and exceed SLA requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong documentation and organizational abilities

Preferred Experience/Skills

  • Advanced scripting/automation experience beyond PowerShell
  • Exposure to enterprise-level security frameworks
  • Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management methodologies
  • Previous work in a multi-site, hybrid, or multi-client (MSP) environment
  • Experience with AV/conferencing system support

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Security+) preferred

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $80,000-85,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, and market considerations.
